8knots was introduced by designer Marcia Bayard on Shelter Island, New York in the summer of 2009.

With the Shelter Island seaside as a backdrop, Bayard has developed a well-curated line of custom products for 8knots with a coastal lifestyle in mind. For your summer house on the beach in the Hamptons. For coming off the surf in Montauk or Maui. At a spa on the Pacific Coast. On a yacht, cruising the Aegean Sea.

We offer a distinctive range of 8knots products for the shore home dweller, the boater, and beach goer. Classic and unique products of sustainable make and design which are made in collaboration with small producers and artisans.
